2026 pricing · Indianapolis metro

Honest pricing ranges, no salesy games.

Most contractors hide their numbers and hope you call. We don't. The ranges below are what real recent jobs in the Indy metro actually cost, fully installed.

How to read these numbers

Every job is quoted free, in person, with no obligation. The ranges below are 2026 USD, fully installed (material + labor + permit + cleanup), based on real recent jobs in the Indy metro. Where you land in the range depends on your lot, prep work, and material grade. We don't post lowball numbers to bait you in.

Fences & gates

Fences & gates

Prices below are per linear foot, fully installed — posts in concrete to local frost depth, panels, hardware, haul-away, and a final walk. Where you land in the range depends on three things. First: lot. A flat, open backyard runs lower than a sloped lot with tree roots, rock, or a tight access for the auger. Second: prep. Removing an old fence, regrading, or coordinating utility locates adds time. Third: grade. Premium cedar costs more than common cedar; black-coated chain link costs more than galvanized; aluminum tier matters. Gates and repair are quoted per job, not per foot, because the variables are different — single pedestrian gates are mostly hardware cost, driveway gates depend on width and whether you want them automated.

Landscaping

Landscaping

Landscaping is quoted per project, not per square foot, because the work is rarely uniform — a 200-square-foot bed with heavy clay and overgrown weeds is a very different job than a 200-square-foot bed of clean mulch on level ground. Mulch is priced per yard installed, which includes delivery, edging touch-up, and spreading. A typical 1,500-square-foot bed refresh takes 3-4 yards. Weeding ranges widely because density matters — a quick edge cleanup is the low end; a season's worth of crabgrass in a neglected bed is the high end. Seasonal cleanups bundle leaf removal, bed cutbacks, edging, and haul-away. New planting bed installs depend on bed size, soil prep, plant grade (1-gallon nursery stock vs. 5-gallon specimen), and whether we're adding mulch and edging on top.
  • Mulch refresh (delivered + installed)$85–$140 /yd
  • Weeding (typical residential job)$150–$500 /job
  • Hedge trimming (typical residential)$80–$300 /job
  • Seasonal cleanup (spring or fall)$250–$900 /job
  • Planting bed new install$500–$3,500 /job
Finishing touches

Finishing touches

If a project needs a small repair to wrap up cleanly — a sagging gate latch, a loose deck board, a fence post that drifted — we handle those small handyman tasks on the same visit instead of pointing you at another contractor. We bill these at an hourly rate with a one-hour minimum. The rate covers labor plus standard hardware; specialty parts (a replacement gate operator, custom-cut wood) are billed at cost. If the small repair is part of a larger fence or landscape job we're already on site for, it usually rolls into the project price rather than getting billed hourly.
Handyman small repairs (1-hr minimum)$85–$125 /hr
